PESHAWAR: A woman and a child were killed and 14, including seven children and five women, were injured in an explosion in a house at Pir Qayyum village, in Tehsil Sadda Bazar, Lower Kurram Agency on Sunday.
According to political administration officials, some explosive material lying in the house of Gul Jan went off with a big bang, killing the wife of Saifur Khan on the spot and injuring 14 other persons.
The officials confirmed that the injured women and children were rushed to Tehsil Sadda Hospital by rescue teams.
According to a doctor, three injured women were in in serious condition.
The political authorities were investigating that whether the explosion was caused by some explosive material planted in the house or it might be a grenade attack
