Weapons seized by Rangers during the raid at Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Headquarters Nine Zero have been given to the police for forensic analysis.
The weapons were handed to the forensic division of the police so it can be uncovered what criminal acts they had been used in.
A report in this regard will be issued in 10-12 days after a ballistics expert at the forensic laboratory completes his analysis.
Rangers carried out a raid at Nine Zero, the headquarters of MQM in Karachi on Wednesday and several people were taken into custody including ‘hardened criminals’.
A huge quantity of arms and ammunition, walkie talkies, binoculars and other military gear were also seized during the raid.
There is no major incident of target killings or any criminal activity have been reported in metropolitan city since the operation on Nine Zero, a tremendous possitve development of peaceful and lawa and order environment have been observed after paramilitary forces operation.
Chief Minister Sindh Sayed Qaim Ali Shah has also repeated that there is tremendous decrease in criminal activities and calm situation have also been observed in proinvce after all the political forces including MQM had jointly decieded operations in all parts of province particularly Karachi.
He said there is a visible change have been observed after Pakistan Rangers and Sindh police efforts to curb of the criminals by maintaining peace after arrest of various terrorists since the action. All the parties and political forces have combined decision about the operation in Karachi he said.
It is also pertinent to be mentioned here that after 48 hours following the operation at different locations particularly MQM secretariat Nine Zero and recovery of weapons and arrests, there is no killings or any criminal activity have been reported. While all the corners citizens were good views over the peace of Karachi during operation and much praised the efforts of Pakistan Army and Rangers in country. In this regard older and young people in every nook and corner of streets, shops, offices have lauded the efforts to maintain security and protection of the lives of citizens by such operations and arrest of terrorists without any political pressures across the borders they told.
Pakistan Tehreek Insaaf (PTI), Jamait Islami (JI) and other political forces have also supported operation against Nine Zero and arrest. They demanded ban after recovery of weapons and arrest of culprits, so that the MQM secretariat must be seized.
While, MQM leaders expressed dissatisfaction over the detention of party members and one sided operation was carried out against the party. They also claimed that they have permits and license of weapons; they may produce at any time. MQM Nine Zero secretariat targeted by the security agencies and there is no justice will be done.
Mutahida Qaumi Movement Qaid Altaf Hussain alleged over media trial of party and tyrannically second time targeted MQM workers, they will knock the door of justice to the International Human Rights organizations and other steps against injustices.
