JACOBABAD: A train standing at a station in Jacobabad caught fire on Wednesday.
According to the reports two railroad cars were burnt as a result of the fire. One of the carriages of Sukkur Express train bound for Karachi from Jacobabad caught fire before departure.
The fire spread to the second carriage as well. Two carriages were completely destroyed as a result while the third one was damaged.
Meanwhile the details, the area’s only fire brigade was unsuccessful in extinguishing the fire. The fire brigade of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) was then called in.
The PAF officers were able to contain the fire. The Divisional Engineer (DEN) of Railway Khadim Hussain while talking to media stated that fire incidents in trains are part of a sabotage plan.
