A few weeks ago, interior ministry officials had told the nation that the capital was not safe. Suicide bombing at the Islamabad courts complex suggests that the Capital and its sensitive installation are vulnerable. After the bombing attack at I-11 Fruit Market it is confirmed that the capital is not safe.
The recent news off government decision to call up rangers for law order duties in Islamabad is depressing. But decision to call up rangers for securing Islamabad is not a solution. The sindh Rangers were called up in Karachi about 25 years back and are still there. They have become permanent parallel force alongside the police.
Calling up Rangers is no a solution instead it increases unrest and chaos in the people.
