JEDDAH: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) has announced that it will be taking part in the senate elections.
PTI chairman Imran Khan while talking to media in Jeddah said that in 2013 the Khyber Pakhtun Khwan (KPK) elections were the only fair elections so they will take part only in the senate elections in KPK.
He said that he expected the 2013 elections to be transparent but they turned out to be the most controversial.
He also said that all the parties agree that the elections in Sind, Punjab and Baluchistan were rigged so his party would not contest senate elections from these provinces.
He was of the view that the matter of forming a judicial commission was being delayed.
The PTI chief also criticized the government for imposing surcharges on electricity and petrol.
