ISLAMABAD: Customs officials at Islamabad’s Benazir Bhutto International Airport on Tuesday arrested a passenger trying to smuggle 139 smartphones and eight thousand memory cards into the country.
Customs officials carried out a search of the passenger’s luggage, which contained over Rs 5 million worth of smartphones and memory cards.
The man, identified as Raja Azam from Chakwal, was traveling to Islamabad from Dubai on board a private flight.
Customs authorities have arrested the man and registered a case against him.
