Had already planned a simple wedding, says Imran

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said on Friday that he had already planned for his wedding to be a low-key affair.

Khan spoke with reporters outside Mufti Saered’s madrassa and told them his original intention was to get married after 20 January but changed his mind once false news pertaining to Reham Khan started appearing in the media.

Khan said those who intend to send gifts for his wedding should instead make a donation to the Shaukhat Khanum Fund. “We should help people on this happy occasion.”

In her conversation with the media, Reham Khan thanked Pakistani people for their support. She prayed that 2015 would be a year of happiness.

Earlier, Imran along with his wife Reham Khan arrived at Mufti Saeed’s madrassa and shared a meal with the children there. Reham Khan’s family members also accompanied the couple.
