3rd death anniversary of Begum Nusrat Bhutto observed

LARKANA: 3rd death anniversary of Madr-e-Jhamoriat Begum Nusrat Bhutto, wife of former Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and mother of former slain chairperson Benazir Bhutto was observed here in Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto on Thursday.
On the occasion, Quran Khawani was arranged at Mausoleum at Bhutto house Naudero for peace of departed soul, the party leadership paid glowing tributes to Nusrat Bhutto, saying that services of Begum Sahiba would be remembered forever. “Madr-e-Jamhuriat Begum Nusrat Bhutto was a national asset who personally led from the front a heroic struggle for the restoration of democracy in the country.”
Begum Nusrat Bhutto was born in 1929 in Isfahan Iran. Before migrating to Pakistan she was educated at the University of Isfahan, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Humanities in 1950.
She served two terms as a Member of Parliament to the National Assembly from the constituency of Larkana Sindh. Begum Nusrat Bhutto rose to political prominence in the late 1970s and early 1980s, when she led protests and demonstrations against military dictatorships and the nation lovingly started calling her Madar-e-Jamhuriat.’
