Terrorists responsible for dialogue failure: PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said on Thursday that terrorists were responsible for the dialogue process not succeeding.

The prime minister added that safe havens of terrorists would be eliminated and the entire country stood behind brave soldiers of the Pakistan Army.

During a meeting with a delegation led by Vice Chairman Pakistan Bar Council Ramzan Chaudhry, Prime Minister Sharif said a revolution in Pakistan could only be achieved via polls.

PM to meet political leaders

A meeting of political leaders will also be convened by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and he is expected to take them into confidence over the operation in North Waziristan and challenges facing the country.

The prime minister will also call upon the support of political leaders for strengthening democracy in Pakistan.

PM invites Imran to visit IDPs

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif also invited Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan to visit IDP camps.

The prime minister’s invitation was declined by Imran Khan on account of prior political commitments.

Residents of North Waziristan have fled from their homes after the military launched an operation to root out terrorism. It is expected that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will visit IDP camps on Friday.
