SUKKUR: An International Non Government Orgnization (INGO), World Wide Fund for Nature–Pakistan (WWFP) organised street theater performances on social and environmental issues in cotton production and processing in Sukkur, Ghotki and Khairpur ginning factories with collaboration of Dost Natak with aims to promote rights at work, encourage decent employment opportunities, enhance social protection and strengthen dialogue in handling work related issues.
While talking to APP on Monday, Sited Coordinator WWF- Sukkur, Ali Hassan Mahar said the street theater performances were aimed at raising awareness regarding better cotton picking practices at farm level as well as decent work issues at ginning level, such as, child labor, wages, working hours and occupational health and safety.
He said that around 2,000 people including factory workers, gin owners, government officials, journalists, representative of allied industries and general public watched these performances.
He said that WWF-Pakistan SWITCH Asia SPRING Team which organised the activity was devoted to advancing opportunities for woman and men to obtain decent and productive work in conditions of freedom, equity, security and human dignity through decent work. Its main aims are to promote rights at work, encourage decent employment opportunities, enhance social protection and strengthen dialogue in handling work related issues.

LARKANA: Chairman Sindh National Movement Aijaz Ali Samtio has said that anti Sindh elements have been empowered to suppress the Sindhi people in Karachi and deprive their rights, he was speaking with journalists at Larkana Press Club on Sunday.
He said that earlier resources of Sindh were plundered by state and now handing over the tortured dead bodies to Sindh people which is condemnable act, added that Sindhi people in Karachi are insecure and facing many hardships but PPP led government in Sindh is reluctant to address the problems of Sindhi people.
SNM Chairman further alleged that PPP government is following the international conspiracy of division of Sindh and protecting the anti Sindh elements by assisting them to provide the land to MQM in Hyderabad to for establishing university on name of Altaf Hussain, he demanded that university on name of notorious robber Paro Chandio should be set up in Dadu, government is announcing the land for establishing the university on name of terrorist why not for Paro Chandio, he said.
He criticized on courts and said that honorable ATC courts are reluctant to award the punishment to target killers and other terrorists captured red handed by Police and Rangers in Karachi, crime rate could have been reduced, had courts punished to terrorists and target killers, he said.
SNM Chairman told that he along with party leaders and workers has initiated the visits of Sindh to convey message about their rights and issues of Sindh people.
Earlier, Aijaz Ali Samtio accompanied by Jamaluddin Mugheri central Senior Vice Chairman SNM, Sikandar Ali Sodhar, Ghulam Mustaf and others visited the residence of martyred Secretary General JUI Sindh Dr Khalid Mehmood Soomro and offered condolence with his son Mulana Nasir Mehmood Soomro, Mulana Rashid Mehmood Soomro on sad demise of their father.
Later they visited the house of renowned intellectual Comrade Sobho Gianchandani and martyred nationalists and offered condolence with their heirs.

Ali Brohi further said that this time is not for personal interests it is for the national interest on the occasion he condemned incident of Army Public School Peshawar he said and added that for betterment of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif have taken important decisions therefore we proud of him and he is able to face them.

KHAIRPUR: Prof. Dr. Parveen Shah, Vice Chancellor, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur has expressed her deep sorrow and grief over the sad demise of Syed Nisar Hussain Shah Latifi, Sajjada Nasheen Dargah, Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai (R.A).
