SMBBMU 7th International Symposium in Larkana concluded at Chandka Medical College-CMC

7th International Symposium of Shaheed Muhtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University (SMBBMU) Larkana on “Theme Innovation and Advancement in Health Science “ was concluded here at Chandka Medical College on Sunday.
Renowned scholars, Professors and Doctors across the world attended the 2 day symposium and read their research papers and exchanged their experience as well.
The activities of Symposium were simplified due to Peshawar tragic incident by changing the schedule, started on 20th December instead of 19 December 2014 symposium was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Shaheed Muhtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University (SMBBMU) Professor Ghulam Asghar Chana, University.
On the occasion, Propfessor Zaman Shaikh from Sir Syed University Karachi, Dr Ali Hassan Abro from UAE, Professor in Eye Department Syed Imtiaz Ali Shah, Renowned Gynecologist Professor Rafia Baloch, Dr Sikandar Mughal, former Vice Chancellor SMBBMU Larkana Professor retired Dr Sikandar Ali Shaikh, Professor Shahid Jamal Sidiqi and other Professors and Doctors read their 100 research papers among 50 SMBBMU on different diseases from all over the country including UAE, Thailand at Auditorium hall of Chandka Medical College Larkan.

Besides 12 workshops on interpretation of ECG, ERCP, intera Uterine Insemination and others were arranged in symposium, for over 1000 general practitioners among 60 percent of local in order to get benefit from the modern research and new methods in medical field.

Dr Zaman Shaikh speaking during panel discussion in concluding ceremony said that now a days “ our doctors are lack in clinical diagnoses and reliant on mere medical tests and other investigation it needs to improve the skills for diagnosing the diseases by symptoms, added that it was never happened in past to go through only investigation depending 100 percent reports.

He said that research is a base of any university, new research and scientific methods should be adopted for the betterment of human being.

VC SMBBMU Professor Ghulam Asghar Chana speaking on the occasion said that objective behind the organizing International Symposium is to enhance the knowledge of faculty and providing the know to how to local doctors

He informed that construction work of SMBBMU building is in progress, 500 beded modern hospital will be established which will deal with ultra modern medical specialties, SMBBMU will become the modern university of world.

On the occasion, Ex Vice Chancellor SMBBMU Professor Assadullah Mahar, Secretary to Symposium Dr Bashir Ahmed Shaikh, Dr Ghulam Qadir Kaheri, Dr Hakim Ali Abro, Dr Abdul Waheed Memon and others were present
