Siraj-ul-Haq: Calls for Scotland-like referendum in Kashmir

KOHALA: Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami, Siraj-ul-Haq Thursday reiterated that his party would continue to support people of Indian-held Kashmir in their struggle for freedom.

“Entire political leadership of the country stands by Kashmiri brethre Pakistan is incomplete without Kashmir which is country’s jugular vein,” he said while speaking to media persons here in Kohala.

“We will never backtrack from the Kashmir cause I appeal international community to play its role for solution of Kashmir issue in accordance with the aspirations of Kashmiri people and pay attention to Indian atrocities.”

The JI chief called for a Scotland-like referendum in occupied Kashmir and ruled out any possibility of friendly relations with India until Kashmir dispute is settled.
