SFD PROCURES 62, 850 TONS OF WHEAT; FOILS BID TO SMUGGLE 700 WHEAT BAGS TO BALOUCHISTAN: JAAM MEHTAB DAHAR

Sindh Food Department (SFD) has procured 62, 850 tons of wheat. Sindh Minister for Food Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar had inspected record of wheat procurement at Tando Jam, Tando Allah Yar and Mirpurkhas procurement centers and had over finding dissatisfactory performance of Tando Jam procurement centre suspended the in-charge of the said centre. The Minister also showed angriness over poor performance of Deputy Director Saleem Ullah Siddiqui and District Food Controller Masood Siddiqui.
He issued a final warning to the staffs of Tando Allah Yar Procurement Centre on failing to maintain the procurement record properly.
He also expressed dissatisfaction over the performance of District Food Controller Mirpurkhas, Ali Muhammad Talpur during his visit to Mirpurkhas Centre.
A Special team of SFD constituted by the Minister, visited Larkana Division and inspected 14 Wheat Procurement Centers established in Qambar-Shahdadkot. So far 4, 900 Jute bags have been distributed from 4 Centers. This special team confiscated 700 wheat bags, which were being transported illegally to Balouchistan through trucks Nos TKA 385 and TKB 092. Drivers of those tucks, Shadi Khail Khan and Khushhal Khan have been handed over to Police.
The Minister has directed the officials of SFD to foil each and every illegal move of wheat to other provinces.
