KARACHI: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan and his spouse Rehman Khan on Sunday reached to lead rally at Aisha Manzil in the NA-246 constituency to accelerate momentum, in response to Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Liaquatbad rally.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan said his party would do its best to win the by election in NA-246 set to be held on April 23.
All the arrangements including a huge stage and thousands of chairs for the men, women and children charged participants were witnessed on the occasion.
Around 3000 policemen have deployed for rally’s security and bomb disposal squad with security walkthrough gates and policewomen on duty.
Rehman Khan along with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan expressed that the politics of fear is losing strength in Karachi and as a result the hustle and bustle has started to return to the metropolis, adding the nation has got a true leader in the shape of Imran Khan now Reham added.
Later, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said that time has come for the people of Karachi to decide their fate by voting their favorite party in by-election.
Talking to the media here on Sunday, he said that it is a very important public gathering to be held eveing in the city. He urged that let the people of the city decide who will be the winner.
He said the splendid huge gathering Sunday night, so that the Karachiites are brave people and are courageous, masses will enjoy and we all will see winds of change in Karachi”, he said.
He also expressed satisfaction over the Rangers deployment, adding that Rangers’ presence inside and outside polling stations will make a difference. “If cameras are installed in polling stations, transparency in polls will be enhanced”, he asserted.
While answering a question about Altaf Hussain’s speech, he said that “my appetite has increased after Altaf’s long and boring speech yesterday”. “How Altaf knows of NA-246 results before elections, results are known prematurely only when matches are fixed”, he said smilingly.
The PTI chief said that he has got land in Karachi now; soon Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust Hospital will be built in the city he told.
