Islamabad—Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on Thursday called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and discussed Taliban talks.
According to our sources, counter-terrorism measures taken by the armed forces remained the agenda of the meeting. Peace process was also discussed during the meeting. The Army Chief briefed the Prime Minister about a recent attack on soldiers and the subsequent retaliation by the armed forces.
Sources said Gen. Raheel and PM Nawaz exchanged views on national security and professional matters of Pak Army. They also deliberated on peace dialogues with Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan
