Operation Zarb-e-Azb: Number of IDPs exceed 3 lacs

BANNU: The number of displaced people from North Waziristan due to the ongoing operation against militants has exceeded 3 lacs. 

According to media reports, additional chief secretary Federally Administrated Tribal Area (FATA) Arbab Mohammad Arif said that complete report regarding aids and facilities of Internally Displaced People (IDP) is being provided to the higher authorities including Governor Khyber PakhtunKhwa.

He said more administrative workers have reached Bannu to solve problems of IDPs more effectively.

Arbab Mohammad Arif informed that 3, 52,492 people have migrated up till now due to the operation.

On the other hand, Chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Imran Khan visited IDP camp located in Bannu on Sunday.

He appealed federal government to issue Rs.6 billion on immediate basis to provincial government adding that number of displaced people will reach to 6 lacs. He said IDPs are living their life with lot of difficulties.
