Muslim world silent as Gaza being destroyed: JI

KARACHI: Jamat-e-Islami (JI) chief Siraj ul Haq Sunday said that Gaza was being destroyed and the Islamic countries were only playing a role of silent spectators.

Addressing the Gaza solidarity rally, JI chief Siraj ul Haq said Israeli aggression continues in Gaza but no meeting of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) was summoned to chalk out a strategy to put a halt on atrocities being unleashed on innocents by Israel.

Siraj further said he was ready to sacrifice his life for the freedom of Bait-ul-Muqaddas, adding that people of the country were standing by the Palestinians and would not accept occupation of Gaza at any cost.

Commenting on the political turmoil in Pakistan, Siraj said all parties were engaged in fighting with each other and expressed his apprehension on the current situation of Islamabad.

‘Pakistan is not a name of mountains and provinces but it’s a name of ideology and philosophy’, Siraj noted.

On the occasion, former JI chief Munawwar Hasan asked the armies of Islamic countries to extend their help to the people of Gaza, saying Muslims were being killed across the world.
