DG FWO says after M9 completion, regional development is vital for province.

KARACHI: Director General Frontier Works Organization (FWO) Major General Muhammad Afzal has said that the pace of Work is in progress at M9 Karachi-Hyderabad Motorway and there is no any disturbance for vehicular traffic since the development underway.
DG highlighted that despite of challenges overall, FWO a pioneer organization in implementing the CPEC and is committed to completing assigned project well before stipulated time lines.
Talking to The Pioneer, Major General Muhammad Afzal has said all energies and resources have been used to accelerate the work as the FWO objective ‘Striving for Excellence.
He said according to agreement the existing 4 Lane Karachi-Hyderabad Superhighway will be converted in 6 Lane Motorway of International Standards, which is also a key project relating to the China Pakistan Economic Corridor Project (CPEC).
He also said the construction of M-8, N-85 and N-25 will provide a vital link between Gwadar and Quetta and Gwadar and Indus Highway, which is a complete road communication, a game changer to play a role of prosperity in country overall.
He told that Karachi-Hyderabad Motorway project maintenance in line with International practices after the completion is for the long run, added it would be used over next twenty five years and a key role in the business linking to the port city across country to vital prosperity in the region.
Director General FWO declared that some anti-elements do not want to see the country a prosper, so that nation needs such a developments of communication and they should play their role to reject those disrupting the path to progress. This project after completion ultimately would play a key role in area development and progress in every sector.
