LARKANA: As may as nine armed men allegedly on behest of land mafia, attempted to occupy the 5000 square ft plot worth millions of well known retired Professor Dr Bilqees Malik. FIR was lodged against 12 accused among three identified and nine other unknown over occupying the property and issuing life threats to Dr Balqees Malik here on Saturday.
According to details, 12 armed men allegedly attacked on plot situated at Sachal Colony Larkana and attempted to occupy 5000 square feet plot in vicinity of Sachal Colony Larkana of retired Professor Dr Bilqees Malik in the jurisdiction of Waleed Police Station. Police was informed and reached at scene, arrested one accused Ilim Khan Brohi rest of accused managed to escape from the scene.
FIR of incident was registered at Waleed Police Station against 12 accused among three identified Ilim Khan Brohi, Ghanwar Jatoi and his son Zahid Jatoi and 9 others unknown accused.

LARKANA: President PPP District Larkana, MNA Muhammad Ayaz Soomro said on Saturday that 5th July is black day of history when former dictator Zia ul Haq overthrew the elected democratic government of Shaheed Zulifqar Ali Bhutto and imposed the martial law in country on 5th July 1977 by abrogating the constitution, he expressed these views while addressing the gathering at PPP secretariat John F Canady Market
Larkana.
MNA Muhammad Ayaz Soomro further said that former Prime Minister of Pakistan Shaheed Zulifqar Ali Bhutto was a dynamic leader who made country’s defense strong by building the nuclear program adding that anti-democratic forces eliminated Bhutto but could not his vision.
Bhutto had given this nation identity and brought about a revolution in the real sense of the word, Bhutto had introduced “one-man, one-vote” principle. He said.
Mr Soomro told that Bhutto was the leader of Pakistan after the Quaid-i-Azam who became a powerful voice of the voiceless poor and sacrificed his life for the cause of democracy and the masses but refused to submit before the retrogressive and anti-democratic forces.
MNA Muhammad Ayaz Soomro paid glowing tribute to great martyred leaders and said that Shaheed ZA Bhutto faced the ruthless and callous dictatorship of Zia and made the history by offering sacrifice for the supreme cause of the empowerment of the people of Pakistan. He become immortal,” he said.who became history and the people remembered him (Zia) in bad name.
He said that after the martyrdom of Zulifqar Ali Bhutto her daughter Shaheed Benazir Bhutto continued mission of her father for revival of democracy and raised voice for the rights of masses but she was martyred by anti democratic forces, added that democratic institutions will be strengthened to flourish in country following vision of our martyred leaders, he said.
On the occasion Senior Vice President PPP District Larkana Khair Muhammad Shaikh, General Secretary Abdul Fatah Bhutto, former Provincial Minister Tauqeer Fatima Bhutto and others also addressed.
