Karachi jail approaches ATC for death warrants of eight terrorists

KARACHI: Karachi Central Jail officials on Saturday filed a request in the anti-terrorism court (ATC), seeking death warrants of eight convicted terrorists.

Pakistan ended its moratorium on the death penalty in terror-related cases on December 17, 2014. The decision to lift the ban was made following the carnage at the Army Public School in Peshawar on December 16.
