ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court Saturday dismissed former prime minister Shaukat Aziz’s petition challenging the verdict of the special court, hearing the high treason case against former military ruler Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf, which called for the inclusion of Aziz name in the list of abettors.
Aziz had filed a petition in the apex court through his counsel Waseem Sajjad Advocate.
The special court in its order on November 21, 2014 had directed the government to include the names of three senior former functionaries in the charge-sheet that included Shaukat Aziz, ex-federal minister Zahid Hamid and former chief justice Abdul Hameed Dogar.
The SC registrar is of the view that the interim order of special court could not be challenged in the apex court and that the appeal could only be filed against the final verdict.
