EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT IMPOSSIBLE SANS MOTHER TONGUE: RALLIES IN SINDH

Rallies and seminars were held on the eve of mother tongue day throughout Sindh demanding status of national language for Sindhi. Sindh Taraqi Pasand Party, Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz, Jeay Sindh Mahaz,Sindhi Adabi Sangat and other Sindhi nationalists and literary organization took out rallies across Sindh to press for granting national language status to Sindhi language. Rallies were taken out in Hyderabad led by Amrashi Thakur, Ashiq Solangi, Babu Shaeedi and Dr. Hassan Leghari. In Karachi Indus Social Forum took out rally the kind of which were also taken out in almost all towns and cities of the proveince urging government to recognise Sindhi as national language. A seminar was organised in Sindhi Language Authority last night which was attended by Sindhi intellectuals including Ibrahim Joyo,former VC Dr. Ghulam Ali Allana,Dr.Yakoob Mughal, Majid Bhurgri ( inventor of Sindhi software),Fahmida Memon chairman Sindhi Language Authority,Jami Chandio, Zulfiqar Halepoto, professor Saleem Memon, Muhammad Ali Deeplai. Speakers said that educatilonal deveopment was not possible without primary education in mother tongue. Two books of Ibrahim Joyo written on language and literature were also made public on the occasion.
It may be mentioned here that on mother tongue day India government suggested promotion of Sindhi language but in its own land Pakistan Sindhi language was being denied status of national language. The day has been declred as mother tongue language day to honor the struggle of Bengalis in united Pakistan when on february 21, 1952 Pakistani forces fired on the rally in Dacca for Bengali language in which scores of people were killed. The unrest culminated separation of East Pakistan as independent country 19 years later.

Scouts world day observed and peace rally taken out from District Scouts Headquarter Shikarpur for Lakhi Gate Clock tower Shikarpur here on Sunday.
According to reports, 03 divisions 07 districts including Shikarpur, Khairpur, Larkana, Sukkur, Nawabshah, Karachi and Tando Allahyar districts participated in peace rally taken out from district headquarter scouts Shikarpur which marching various roads reached at Lakhi Gate Clock tower.
Talking to media persons Shoukat Ali Balouch, Shabir Sheikh, Habibullah Solangi, Nisar Mugheri, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Punhal Mangi, Haji Siraj, Abdul Haleem Arain said that education is single way so we can stop terrorism in world.

The people of Shikarpur District have once again fallen in panic and fear of occurring the incidents of suicide bomb blast attacks when the threating letter was thrown into one central hotel of Imdad Ali Mirani of Madeji town by unidentified TTP Militants on Saturday last after the suicide bomb blast attack occurred in central Imam Bargah Masjid Shikarpur during the Jumma Prayer on 30th January 2015.
The Tahreek-e-Taliban Pakistan-TTP militants have threatened to hotel master to bring his hotel under suicide bomb blast attack in first attempt on 28rd March-2015 at 10:00 am and then attack on Madeji police station on 21st April 2015.
The threating letter received from TTP activists was handed over to Madeji police and the Shuhada Committee Shikarpur by Imdad Ali Mirani through his son Javed Ahmed Mirani demanding the security.
While the police have become alert and began to take speedy action of search operation against the terrorists and assumed investigation into the matter.
On the other hand the Shuhada Committee Shikarpur has intensified the preventive security measures at central Imam Bargah and other city Imam Bargahs after the threating letter of TTP militants received by Hotel Master Imdad Ali Mirani of Madeji.
Addressing an emergent press conference held at central Imam Bargah Lakhi-Gate here, the Chairman of Shuhada Committee Allama Maqsood Ali Domki has allegedly said that the law enforcing Agencies were still in a sleep when the terrorists were active to continue their terrorist activities to destroy peace.
He however has demanded to take serious steps against the growing terrorist activities in the province and accelerate the mode of joint operation by Rangers and police personnel to destroy the hideouts and training camps of the banned terrorist organizations including Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and Tahreek-e-Taliban Pakistan who were bent upon to continue their network aimed at killing of Shia community men and the other innocent people particularly in shikarpur District and other parts of Sindh generally.
While the Chairman of Shuhada Committee pointed out that the activists of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi were involved in continuing network of their Jihadi meetings at Shahdadkot, Shikarpur and Tando Adam districts to create hatred and sectarian violence as reported so the Sindh Government should keep vigilant eye over the Jihadi movements of the banned Jihadi organizations in the larger interests of the country and it’s nation.
On the other hand he expressed his deep concern over the step-motherly attitude of Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Federal Home Minister Choudhry Nisar Ahmed towards the sympathies and condolence with the victim families of Shikarpur disaster expressed by them at humanitarian basis till today.
Replying to a question regarding the further programme of protest movement, Allama Maqsood Ali Domki said that the further protest campaign program was called off as the main demands of Shuhada Committee were accepted and the implementation over the demands was started.
While he expressed his satisfaction over the joint operation by Rangers and Police against terrorists in Shikarpur District and hoped for best results to be achieved from the ongoing joint operation in the District.
He also informed the media men that according to demands of Shuhada Committee the case of the Shikarpur disaster would be transferred to the Army Court for trial after the legal investigation into this case would be completed. Whereas the issuance of arms license for the security purpose is lying under process with the authorities concerned, he told.

VICTIM FAMILIES RALLY- DEMONSTRATION

SHIKARPUR: About 64 passengers were burnt to death when the sudden fire breakout in the passenger coach Shikarpur bound Karachi on 11th of January 2015.
The case of Bus disaster was registered at Malir Police station. While Sindh Government had announced rupees two lac for each victim as compensation but the victim families are still deprived of the payments of compensation money.
The victim family members took out the rally followed by a demonstration staged here infront of Shikarpur Press Club on Monday in protest against the delaying tactics in making payments of compensation money of rupees two lac each as announced by Sindh Government.
The rally and the demonstration were led by Ahmed Ali Bakhrani, Haji Muhammad Ali Bakhrani, Punhal Soomro, Mewal Shah, Hussain Bux Pahore, Khalid Ansari and others.
The protesters have demanded of Sindh Government to release the compensation money of their heirs martyred in Malir Bus fire disaster.
They have also demanded the jobs for the independent family members to enable them to earn their livelihood.
The victim families have also threatened for long march to CM House Karachi to stage demonstration there till their demands were accepted.
