BADIN: 8000 primary schools will be honored to Early Childhood Education (ECE) & children enrollment ratio will increased till 45%. More than 8000 fresh appointment would be done for Early Child Education.
This was expressed by Imran Shah, Taluka Education Officer, Badin while addressing the hundreds of participants of Course Completion Event & closing Ceremony organized by local NGO, DevCon – An Association for Rural Development in collaboration with the ambassador funded program American people through US Agency for international development (USAID).
The event was participated by hundreds of participants including parents, teachers, students, social workers & journalists.
While addressing the participants, Imran Shah, TEO added that there was not such concept of Early Childhood Education in any school of district & DevCon introduced the ECE in schools.
Naeem Abbasi, Project Manager told that 15 public schools & 15 private Schools were selected for ECE center under the project & children were provided social, psychological & physical education for betterment of their education.
On the occasion Syed Tahir Shah, educationist, Siddique Soomro, education department, Shahnawaz Zargar, Abdul Qayoom Memon & others also addressed the participants.
Meanwhile, children from GPS Haji Hashim Khaskheli, Gul Mohammad Leghari, Shaheen Public School and National School were performed tableaus & awarded with gifts
SPLA strongly criticizes decision of the Departmental Promotion Committee

BADIN: a meeting of Sindh Professors & Lecturers Association (SPLA) held at Badin & was presided over by Ghulam Nabi Rustmani, Genera Sec, and SPLA Hyderabad Region & was specially participated by office bearers from Hyderabad Region, Imtiaz Ali Memon & Mohd Yousif Qaim khani.
Recent promotion of the lecturers by Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) was discussed & decision of the DPC was strongly criticized in the meeting. The participants of meeting demanded promotion of 222 lecturers should be done on priority basis. The DPC has recommended number of lecturers for the promotion is not sufficient & it hampered in others promotions.
The demanded 50% should be given to young lecturers in central body of SPLA as they can get resolve their issues along with seniors.
PFF organizes drawing competition to inaugurate the awareness campaign

BADIN: Marking internal day of rivers, Pakistan Fisher Folk Forum (PFF) is running awareness campaign from 1st to 14 March to safeguard the rivers & delta.
In this connection, PFF organized drawing competition to inaugurate the awareness campaign at its district office Badin.
The drawing competition event was participated by students of various local schools including Shah Latif Public School, Oxford Public School, Indus Public School & others.
Mohammad Mithan Mallah, President, PFF, Mohammad Umer Mallah, General Sec, PFF Badin, Abida Jamali, Mohammad Yaseen Tunio, Hyder Panwhar, Abdullah Turk, Ali Akbar Qambrani & others while addressing the participants of the event said that such competitions can help to enhance the skills of children. Meanwhile, Samreen Zaur, Nayab Mughal & Aslam Mallah sung the songs in the event.

LARKANA: A boy student of 6th Class has gone missing in locality of Lahori muhala Larkana city for past two days in the limits of Civil Line Police Station Larkana.
12 year old Rehan alias Moon son of Imtiaz Gorar resident of Lahori Muhalla Larkana went missing on 26th February 2015 at 5 PM when he came out from home to go at Madarsa for religious education but did not return back to home.
The relatives of missing boy searched everywhere to trace him but failed to find any clue, last night they informed the Civil Line Police Station Larkana about the missing of Rehan alias Moon Gorar.
Imtiaz Gorar a primary teacher and father of missing boy told media that his son Rehan alias Moon Gorar went out from home for Madarsa, after reasonable time did not return back to home then enquired from Madarsa they told that missing boy had not come at Madarsa, we have no enmity with others, he told.

MOTORCYCLE AND CAR COLLISION, TWO KILLED IN ROADMISHAP

SHIKARPUR: A woman and a minor child killed while two others received serious injuries in road mishap at Sukkur-Larkana road near village Dadilo Tarit Jatoi within the jurisdiction of Lakhi Ghulam Shah police station some thirty kilometers from here on Sunday evening.
According to details two women a child and one man identified as Mehtab Ali along with his wife Mst Shafiat, his relative Mst Shabiran of 40, wife of Mumtaz Ali Sheikh and a minor child Saeed Ahmed of 8, son of Memtaz Ali all of residential of Medije district Shikarpur were coming from Madeji to Lakhi Ghulam Shah on their motorcycle when a speedy car coming from Sukkur to Larkana collided with them at Sukkur-Larkana road near village Dadilo Tarit Jatoi.
As a result of accident Mst Shabiran wife Mumtaz Ali and her minor child Saeed Ahmed were killed on the spot and Mehtab Ali and his wife Mst Shafiat received serious injuries.
Car driver managed to flee from the scene.
Area police reached on the spot handed over the bodies of deceased to their relatives after conducting post-mortem from Lakhi Ghulam Shah Hospital while injured persons moved to Larkana Civil Hospital for further medical treatment after given them first aid.
Area police impounded ill-fated car.

BURGLARY IN JOURNALIST SHOP

SHIKARPUR: burglary occurred in journalist shop within the jurisdiction of Stuart ganj police station on Saturday late night.
According to details some group of thieves looted a shop of journalist at midnight Abdul Khalique Soomro and his neighbor’s shop Saleem Soomro.
As a result of theft journalist Abdul Khalique soomro and his neighbor Saleem Soomro deprived thirty thousand cash and other valuables. Further investigation is in progress. FIR was not registered till this news was flashed.

SHIKARPUR: youth deprived cash and other valuables by three unidentified motorcyclist armed men at Shikarpur-Larkna Indus highway near Eidgah within the jurisdiction of Garhi Yasin Police station some 20 kilometers from here on Saturday early hours.
According to reports three private employees identified as Haizbullah Junejo, Saleem Soomro and Sardar Sanjrani were returning from Garhi yasin for Shikarpur after sold Colgate products on their vehicle who were deprived rupees ten thousands, mobile phones and other valuables by three unidentified motorcyclist armed men at Shikarpur-Larkana Indus highway near Eidgah.

PHYSICAL REMAND OF ACCUSED OF SHIKARPUR DISASTER GRANTED FOR 14 DAYS

SHIKARPUR: The two mastermind terrorists Ghulam Rasool Brohi and Khalil Ahmed Zahri involved in the incident of suicide bombing attack on central Imambargah Masjid Shikarpur on 30 January of 2015 were arrested while one of the terrorists Ali Sher Brohi made his escape good during the raid conducted by Shikarpur police collaboration with CID Sindh and Federal law enforcement agency from village Abdul Khalique Pandran Brohi within the jurisdiction of Sultankot police station on Thursday late night.
The arrested both the accused were produced before the court of Anti Terrorists Shikarpur for getting physical police remand under section 167 Prcp on Saturday.
The learned court granted the physical remand of the arrested accused for 14 days to complete the investigation by police while keeping the accused in police custody.
At least 65 innocent people including more than 12 children were martyred. While more than 73 persons were seriously injured in the incident of bomb blasting.
Addressing the press conference held at SSP House here SSP Shikarpur Saqib Ismail Memon informed the media men that the arrested accused were involved in facilitating, supporting and supplying explosive substance / devices to the suicide bomber to commit suicide bomb blasting attack on central Imambargah Masjid Shikarpur during Juma prayer. While the name of the suicide bomber deputed for bombing on Imambargah Masjid was disclosed as Muhammad Ilyas Brohi resident of Quetta Baluchistan by the arrested accused.
Besides the arrested accused were belonging to Jesh-ul-Islam and Lashikar-e-Jhangvi the banned organizations.
The SSP Shikarpur also informed that the suicide attacker Muhammad Ilyas Brohi was staying in the house of absconding accused Ali Sher Brohi for a week before the attack.
IG Police Sindh has announced the award of rupees 2.5 million for the police party which had achieved the success in unearthing the culprits involved in the Shikarpur disaster, told SSP Shikarpur.
The further investigation is in progress and the interrogation being conducted from the arrested accused who are remaining under the police custody after receiving the physical remand of the accused from the Anti terrorist Court (ATC) Shikarpur.
