RAWALPINDI, Apr 22 (INP): An accountability court in Rawalpindi on Wednesday acquitted Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Rehman Malik in two references case.
During the hearing, Rehman Malik said that legal requirements in the verdict issued against him in two different references earlier were not complete.
Judge Sohail Nasir, after hearing arguments declared the punishment of the PPP leader void.
Rehman Malik, speaking to media after the hearing, claimed that he was being pressurized into becoming an approver in the murder case of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto through these references.
