COAS, Saudi Defence Minister discuss military cooperation

RIYADH, Apr 24 (INP) Saudi Defense Minister Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, who is also the chief of the royal court and special adviser to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, met on Thursday with Gen. Raheel Sharif, Chief of Staff, Pakistan Army. During the bilateral meeting at the prince’s office in Al-Maazar District of Riyadh, they discussed areas of the current military cooperation between the two friendly countries and ways of enhancing them.
 
Later, the minister of defense and the Pakistan Army Chief held a plenary session and discussed aspects of defense cooperation between the Kingdom and Pakistan and affirmed the two sides’ continued determination to develop them, Saudi media reported.
 
The meeting was attended by Mohammed Al-Ayesh, assistant minister of defense; Gen. Abdulrahman Al-Bunyan, deputy chief of general staff; Fahd Al-Isa, director general of the defense minister’s office; and Brig. Gen. Saud Al-Huzaim, Saudi military attache in Pakistan.
 
On the Pakistani side, the meeting was attended by Khawaja Mohammad Asif, minister of defense, director general for military operations, and Tahir Gelzaz, military attache in Riyadh.
