RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt jointly visited North Waziristan Agency Thursday, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
According to DG ISPR, Major General Asim Saleem Bajwa, the military chiefs reviewed progress of ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azb and matters pertaining to return of temporarily displaced persons.
During their visit, the heads of army and air force met the troops deployed in the battle ground. Gen. Sharif appreciated the efficacy of use of air power with ground operations. He said that terrorists will be chased and targeted.
He reaffirmed commitment to eliminate all terrorists. The COAS directed all concerned to prepare for dignified return of TDPs to their homes.
