CM Sindh urges Federal Govt to implement Pak-Iran Gas Pipeline agreement

The Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah has urged upon the Fedral Govt to implement the Pak-Iran Gas Pipeline agreement which made during the last tenure of PPP Govt under the remarkable efforts of Ex-President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari to resolve the energy crises being faced by the people of Pakistan particularly people of Sindh. This he observed while addressing 36th Anniversary of Victory of Islamic Republic revolution of Iran at Consulate General of Iran in Karachi as Chief Guest this night.
He said that since inception of Pakistan, we are enjoying very close, friendly and brotherely relations with Iran. He said that the Industrialists, Traders of Pakistan specialy from Sindh deeply interested to further promote the business relations with Iran and It will be in the interest of Pakistan to implement on the gas pipeline agreement to facilitate the industrial sector, produce and export more to the other countries for progress and prosperity of its people. He said that at present, the people of interior Sindh and urban areas were facing hardship of loadshading where as the industrialists were also in facing shortage of gas for their industries and business.
The Chief Minister Sindh while lauding the economic achievements of the Iran, that it attended after Islamic Revolution, said that by enhancing the trade and economic relation with Iran, we can resolve our economic problem with the help and assistance of Iran. The Chief Minister Sindh said that indeed people of Pakistan have deeply friendly relations with Iran but the people of Sindh are enjoying very good but special relations with people of Irand and they are frequently visiting, trading to each other.
The Consul General of Islamic Republic of Iran Mehdi Subhani, said that after the greater and glorious Islamic revolution made under the dynamic, spritual leader ship of Imam Khumaini in the view of true Islamic teaching, the Iran nation has achieved remarkable progress and prosperity almost in all field. He said that we have achieved internal as well as external achievements in all fields and added that in the results of these goals, today Iran was more safe, secure and economically stable country in the region. He said to extend and promote the relations with neibouring country was the top priority of Iranian foreign policy.
He said that Pakistan is our best neighbouring country. He said that we have made agreement with Pakistan to supply Gas for its progress and prosperity and added that hopefully we both countries to take this agreement to its destination. He said that we have good relations with Pakistan and specialy with people of Sindh. He lauded the role of Former President of Pakistan and Co- Chairman of PPP Mr. Asif Ali Zardari and Chief Minister sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah for promoting relations with Iran. Later the Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Consul General of Iran Mehdi Subhani and other distinguished guests jointly cuting the cake of the celebration. The Ceremony was also attended by the Speaker of Sindh Assembly Agha Siraj Durrani, Senior Sindh Minister for Education Nisar Khuhro, Sindh Minister for Works & Services Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani, Special Assistants to CM Waqar Mehdi , Rashid Rabbani, Leaders of other political parties, deplomate of other countries and notable persons in large numbers.

SHIKARPUR: Syed Qaim Ali Shah the Chief Minister of Sindh visited Shikarpur on Wednesday here.
During his visit the Chief Minister reached at Central Imambargah and offered fatiha with the victim relatives of the innocent peoples martyred in the recent incident of suicide bomb blast attack in Central Imambargah Masjid on 30 January 2015.
On the occasion he took part in the negotiation with Shuhada Committee members in connection with 14 demands made by the committee and assured to consider the all demands presented by the Shuhada committee excepting the demand for conducting Army operation in district Shikarpur.
About the demand for Army operation the Chief Minister said that on the demands by the people the amendment was made in the constitution for conducting Army operation against the terrorists but inspite of that the people belonging to different sections tried to oppose the Army operation and termed and as an act of Marshal law therefore instead of conducting targeted Army operation in district Shikarpur against the terrorists activities. However he informed the Shuhada committee that the officer of brigadier rank was appointed to conduct the ongoing investigation being remained in process so that the fruit full results could be achieved.
Later while talking to media men the Chief Minister again repeated that the investigation process is in progress being conducted by the special investigation team comprising DIG Larkana, SSP Shikarpur, SSP Sukkur, SSP Khairpur and SSP Special branch Sukkur and assured that the good news into the Shikarpur incident investigation would be given to the people of Shikarpur very soon.
The Chief Minister said that the cases regarding the religious terrorism and sectarian violence would be referred to Army courts for hearing which would be decided within a week.
He said and added that in order to conduct the investigation about the Shikarpur incident by the local committee comprising two members of Ulema council and the members of the victim families so that the ongoing troubled situation could be brought under control soon as possible.
Later on the Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah reached at the premises of District Administration complex Shikarpur where he distributed the bank cheques of rupees 142600000/= among the victim family members of 64 Shaheeds and 73 injured at the rate of rupees 2000000/= each Shaheed and rupees 200000/= each injured persons.
The Chief Minister was accompanied with Agha Siraj Khan Durani the speaker of Sindh Assembly, PPP PMA Meer Abid Bhayo, MPA Hazaar Khan Bijarani the Sindh minister for works and services, Ghulam Hyder Jamli the IG Police Sindh, Dr. Saeed Ahmed Magnejo the Divisional Commissioner Larkana, and Meer Babal Khan Bhayo the District president PPP Shikarpur.

Shuhada committee press conference.

SHIKARPUR: Speaking at a press conference Allama Maqsood Ali Domki the Chairman of Shuhada committee Shikarpur informed the journalists that the negotiation between the Chief Minister and the Shuhada Committee members in connection with the demands presented by the Shuhada committee was failed.
The chairman Shuhada committee announced to start the protest movement against the Shikarpur tragedy and acceptance of the demands as per scheduled program and thus the long march would be started from Shikarpur to Karachi at 12 Noon on 15 Feb: of 2015 to meet the demonstration purpose in front of the house of the chief minister of Sindh at Karachi on 17 February definitely.

ONE WOMAN KILLED WHILE ANOTHER INJURED.
SHIKARPUR: one woman was killed while another woman sustained bullet injuries on pretext of Karo-Kari at village Mithal Jamali katcha area within the jurisdiction of Jamalpur police station some 45 kilometers from here on Wednesday early in the morning.
According to reports, accused Zafarullah Jamali was suspected that his two sister-in-law ( the wives of his two brothers) named Musmat Hafeezan of 20, wife of Nasurullah Jamali and Musmat Memona wife of Abdullah Jamali had illicit terms with two relatives. The Zafarullah Jamali opened fires on his above said sisters-in-law when he saw them busy in talking with their paramours on mobile phone.
As a result of firing Musmat Hafeezan was killed on the spot while Musmat Memona was seriously injured.
The accused Zafarullah Jamali escaped away from the place of incident.
The injured musmat Memona was referred to private Hira Hospital Sukkur for medical treatment whose condition is reported out of danger.
While the dead body of deceased musmat Hafeezan was handed over to her relatives after conducting the post-mortem emanation from Civil Hospital Shikarpur.
No FIR was registered till this news was flashed.
