PM summons meeting of parliamentary parties

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has summoned a meeting of the parliamentary parties today (Wednesday) to finalize the national action plan on counter-terrorism.
Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif and Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (DG ISI) Rizwan Akhtar will also attend the meeting.

It will be the second meeting of parliamentary leaders in the wake of the heinous attack on the Army Public School in Peshawar a week ago.
The prime minister will initiate the meeting with his remarks while Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan will brief the participants about various stages of the action plan.

The proceedings of the discussion will take place behind closed doors.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan is also expected to attend the meeting as he is being contacted by Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar to extend an invitation.
